Drnevich & Associates, Inc. is the Secretariat for PAHRA. The Secretariat is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association. The Executive Director is Richard Drnevich, President of Drnevich & Associates, Inc. Julie Kascal and Mary Lou Janero are working with Drnevich & Associates, Inc. to provide a full array of conference planning, administrative and public relations services to PAHRA.

Richard Drnevich brings 30 years of technical and managerial experience to PAHRA and its Membership. Richard is the President of Drnevich & Associates, Inc. a professional service firm that he founded in 1996. He is a practicing architect and an urban planner, providing architectural, planning and administrative services to a number of clients. He is also the Editor of the PAHRA Monitor and does legislative work for PAHRA and the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of NAHRO on both the State and Federal level. Richard was President of PAHRA from 1990 to 1992, served as PAHRA Board Member for 10 years and has served on a number of PAHRA committees before and after his tenure as President.

Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. Drnevich held the position of Director of the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County from 1980 to 1996 and was its Chief Planner from 1974 to 1980. He is a former Member of the Board of of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). and has also served as Vice President of Community Revitalization and Development for that organization. He is a member of the board of directors of Residential Resources Development Corporation, a non-profit in the Western Pennsylvania region that purchase housing for lower income citizens and persons with mental disabilities.

Mr. Drnevich has a Masters Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame. He resides in the Pittsburgh area.

Associated with Mr. Drnevich and helping to provide PAHRA with a full array of services are Julie Kascal and Mary Lou Janero.

Ms. Kascal has over 30 years experience in community planning and development, market analysis, economic development, fund raising, and public participation as well as organizational administration work with clients in the private and public sectors. She founded Cygnus Associates, and held positions with Green International, Inc., Allegheny County Planning Department and Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Planning Commission.

Julie has a B.A. in Sociology from Wilson College and has done graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. Over the years she has served on a number of boards of community and professional organizations including the Pennsylvania Planning Association.

Ms Janero, after retiring with more than 35 years in banking and finance, is providing support services to PAHRA. As a former Vice President of Community Banking,f PNC Bank, she has extensive experience in organizational administration, working with individuals and entities in the public and private sectors. Ms. Janero is assisting with the financial management of PAHRA's operations as well as with conference management and registration. She has been active in a number of community organizations including Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce.
